VCCRI complies with the National Privacy Principles ("NPPs") under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). The following information sets out how the VCCRI will deal with personal information recorded through the use of its website.
VCCRI conducts a number of research programs that involve the collection and storage of tissue samples, health and other personal information. VCCRI complies with the Health Records Information and Privacy Act 2002 (Cth) and all samples and information are collected, stored and used in accordance with Australian Government regulations and National Health & Medical Research Council Guidelines. Identifiable information is only disclosed to participants, their doctors and family members where requested and all requests for anonymity are strictly adhered to. If you are a participant in one of the Institutes research programs or are thinking of becoming one please contact the Chief Operating Officer for further information.
VCCRI collects personal information from you if it is relevant to our relationship with you or if it is necessary to enable us to provide you with information or material you have requested. Personal information including your name, address, telephone number, fax, email address, occupation and age may be collected through this website.
