Venue Information

Cardiology at the Frontier: Development, Stem Cells and Heart Failure Symposium will be held at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute (located within the Lowy Packer Building) and the adjacent Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Darlinghurst (see addresses and map below). The Garvan Institute and the VCCRI are located approximately 2 kms from the centre of Sydney.

From Sydney Airport (Kingsford Smith)

Car Rental

A selection of car rental services is available at Sydney Airport.

 

Taxi

The VCCRI is approximately a thirty-minute ride from the airport (approximate cost $25-30).

 

Public Transport

Take the train from the Domestic or International terminals to Central Station and change to the Eastern Suburbs line direct to Kings Cross Station. Sydney Airport trains depart approximately every 15 minutes.

From Sydney CBD

Public transport is available from the city to Darlinghurst on bus routes 311 and 389, which stop on Darlinghurst Road and Burton Street respectively; bus routes 378, 380 and L82 which stop on nearby Oxford Street; or it is a five-minute walk from Kings Cross Station.
