Bay Soiree 2018

The Bay Soiree 2018

We are delighted to inform you that our Cuban inspired Bay Soiree was a brilliant success!

With your overwhelmingly generous support we raised vital funds for the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute. These funds will help support a young scientist in their work to find cures for congenital heart disease, the most common form of birth defect in Australia and the world. I’m sure we all agree that Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel hosted a stunning evening from the delicious menu, inspired by the close proximity to the sea as well as the Cuban culture and the crisp AURA Rosé wine donated by Philips Frolic Wines.

Bay Soiree 2018

The rain didn’t dampen the spirits of our guest as they sipped on Piper Heidsieck Champagne, Heineken and Bacardi Mojitos while the Casanova Band entertained the crowd with beautiful Cuban jazz. Our sincere thanks also go to our incomparable host, Todd McKenney, who was integral to the success of the evening. And few could forget the moving interview with Saasha and Simon Scaife the parents of three year old Charlotte who has CHD. Thank you, Saasha and Simon, for giving us a rare insight into your raw experience with heart disease.

Finally, the night would not have been possible without the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, our incredible committee members, volunteers and of course our sponsors! On behalf of the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, thank you for your overwhelming support.
