Join the National 5km Walk and help us beat SCAD heart attacks!

Help us raise awareness and much needed research funds for SCAD - a disease responsible for about 25% of heart attacks in women under the age of 50.

Now in its 5th year, the 5k SCADaddles for Research is going virtual and national for one weekend. Our Executive Director, Professor Jason Kovacic and his team of scientists, will also be joining in the fun to support this year's event.

Register to walk or run 5km with friends, family and supporters in your local area on the weekend of the 31 October and 1 November 2020 and help us raise much needed funds for medical research into SCAD heart attacks.

SCAD (Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection) is a leading cause of heart attacks in seemingly healthy, fit adults and the number one cause of heart attacks in women under 50 and new mums.  Registration and donations are tax deductible in Australia and with help from grants to cover fees, every dollar raised goes towards medical research to identify the most effective ways to diagnose, treat and ultimately prevent SCAD heart attacks.
