Heart of the West 2022
Huge turnout for Heart of the West Fundraiser
25 November 2022
Almost 400 people attended Club Marconi’s Heart of the West fundraising extravaganza last Sunday.

More than $60,000 was raised for life-saving research at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute through this event at Colosseo Doltone House Western Sydney. Over the years Club Marconi has raised a staggering $560,000 for the Institute.

Professor Jason Kovacic, Executive Director of the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, said it was fantastic to finally have the opportunity to meet Club Marconi supporters after the COVID-19 hiatus.
“Our partnership with Club Marconi continues to grow and strengthen. As Australia’s national heart research institute, it’s vital that we ensure we meet the needs of every community in the country,” said Professor Kovacic.
“Heart disease does not discriminate, and I am so pleased that Club Marconi recognizes this and helps us raise much-needed funds to tackle Australia’s biggest killer.
"Club Marconi’s members and friends were incredibly welcoming, and we are so thankful we could hold this event in person once again.”
Professor Jason Kovacic paid particular thanks to Club Marconi President Morris Licata, Club Marconi Board Director Frank Oliveri and all its board members, and Doltone House’s Paul Signorelli for hosting the stunning event.
Entertainment included comedians Joe Avati and Darren Carr, celebrated tenor Mark Vincent, and Australia's own 'King of Rock'n'roll' Steve King.
Raffle and auction prizes included a Vespa, a Western Sydney Wanderers Experience, a Doltone House business lunch package, a Versace dinner set, and stunning gold jewellery.
Our thanks go to the sponsors and all the generous supporters.
